Henry
Founder
Henry founded AKL Plumbing in 2016 after turning a long-held ambition into reality. From the very beginning of his apprenticeship, his goal was to build a trusted plumbing and gasfitting business that delivered exceptional service to homeowners and businesses across Auckland.
With years of hands-on industry experience, Henry has built a reputation for quality workmanship, reliability, and strong customer relationships. Alongside running AKL Plumbing, he has also developed property projects, using the knowledge and connections he has gained throughout his time working in the construction industry.
Outside of work, Henry is a passionate golfer and proud member of Akarana Golf Club, where he's working towards achieving a single-digit handicap. He also enjoys spending quality time with his young son and making the most of family life outside the business.
Werner
Plumber
Werner is a highly experienced and skilled plumber with over 20 years in the industry, known for delivering excellent workmanship, practical solutions, and outstanding customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
Throughout his career, Werner has worked across both residential and commercial projects, with extensive experience reading plans, installing and servicing plumbing systems, and coordinating effectively with other trades to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. His strong work ethic, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality make him a valued member of the AKL Plumbing team.
Werner takes pride in contributing to a business that shares his high standards, ambition, and customer-focused approach. Outside of work, he enjoys surfing, gaming, and spending time at the gym.
Ben
Registered Plumber & Gasfitter
Ben began his journey with AKL Plumbing as a first-year apprentice and, through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to his craft, has progressed to become a Registered Plumber and Gasfitter.
Over the years, Ben has become a highly valued member of the team, earning consistent praise from homeowners and business owners alike for his professionalism, quality workmanship, and friendly approach. Whether working on residential maintenance, new builds, or commercial projects, he takes pride in delivering excellent results and exceptional customer service. Ben's growth within AKL Plumbing reflects his strong work ethic and passion for the industry, making him an integral part of the team.
Outside of work, Ben is a true automotive enthusiast. You'll often find him in the garage working on his latest project car, modifying his 4WD, or spending weekends competing in team sports. When he's not on the tools, he's usually fine-tuning something with an engine and enjoying the outdoors.
Charlie
Morale Manager
Charlie is the unofficial mascot and morale manager of AKL Plumbing. As a friendly Cavoodle with a big personality, Charlie takes his role very seriously; greeting visitors, supervising the team, and ensuring smoko breaks happen on time.
When he's not keeping an eye on the day-to-day operations, Charlie can usually be found chasing a ball, soaking up the sun, or searching for extra treats from anyone willing to spoil him. Known for his wagging tail and friendly nature, he's a favourite among customers and the team alike.
While Charlie hasn't quite mastered plumbing or gasfitting yet, he's an expert in boosting team morale and making everyone's day a little better.
